Eco Committee November Update

Our own little Eco Warriors have been getting active recently in Whiteabbey Primary School. Recently they have been doing some much needed weeding and tidying up of fallen autumn leaves etc.   In preparation for winter they have been creating bird-feeders for our little feathered friends using junk materials – they are not finished just yet but we will upload more photographs when they are!   One photo shows the eco-committee checking that our interactive whiteboards and classroom lights are turned off at break and lunch times. As a school attempting to acheive our Green Flag Award we are trying to reduce our whole school energy bills! We are running a FANTASTIC competition in school and the winning class will be treated to an ice-cream at Mauds....not sure what Mr. Wysner means when he keeps saying, "an ice cream" ?? :-)
