Children's Commissioner visits Whiteabbey Primary School

Yesterday our Pupil Council hosted a visit from Koulla Yiasouma, the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People. The Commissioner met with our elected Pupil Council and then had a Question & Answers session with our Year 7 children. Koulla was interested to hear about life as a child in Whiteabbey Primary School and in our local Jordanstown community. Our children learned a lot from her visit not only about the role of the Commissioner but also in relation to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
